A new coworking space is opening in the heart of downtown next week. Located on the second floor of the Charles & Co. building — at 201 Montgomery — &co is a new communal work space for entrepreneurs, start-ups, freelancers, and anyone looking for a welcoming place to work.

Part vintage, part modern — the 20,000 square-foot space was developed by Silverman and designed by Rebecca Johnson. The space includes conference rooms, a full service bar (with Modcup coffee on tap and Harney & Sons tea), a meditation/wellness room, outdoor terrace, and 22 private offices.

The sun-drenched space also features salvaged furnishings from Silverman’s Hamilton Square development, formerly St. Francis Hospital. This includes clocks, chairs, and a unique use of the hospital’s x-ray viewing machines.

Outside of the communal work space, &co plans on hosting a variety of events in its main lounge — some open to the public, others exclusive to members. These will range from tech meet ups, wine/beer tastings, hackathons, and wellness classes. Upcoming public events include an election night watch party and a screening of the rock mockumentary, This is Spinal Tap.

&co offers different membership levels ranging from Open membership ($250/month) to Private Office membership ($800/month).

Below are some additional shots I took myself. (Photos in the slideshow above were provided by &co).
