Ani Ramen Now Open, Autism Awareness Fundraiser at Taphaus

Monday: Ani Ramen Jersey City is finally open to the public. Slurp on some ramen, sip on some Japanese cocktails, and don’t forget to check out the cool murals.

Tuesday: Marketplace JC is back at the Harborside Atrium showcasing a variety of locally made crafts, art, and food. Vendors include Outer Limits Hot Sauce, Taproot Organics, Myriad Mirage, and more. The market is held every Tuesday from 11am to 3pm.

Tuesday: Coolvines and PS Wine Bar are are teaming up to teach you how to pair wine with cheese. Tickets are $55/pp; it includes 8 wine and cheese pairings.

Tuesday: From manchego to gouda, Van Hook Cheese is hosting a cheese 101 class for anyone who wants to learn more about their favorite cheeses. Tickets are $40/pp.

Tuesday: Sensory Kids & Social Minds is hosting a fundraiser dinner at Taphaus — catered by Whealth and Garden Steaks — to promote autism awareness. The 3-course dinner, which also includes 2 drinks, costs $60/pp. All proceeds will go to the KMF Foundation that gives scholarships to autistic adults and teens.

Tuesday: Plant Nite is back for its second Jersey City class. Plant Nite is like a paint-n-sip class, but rather than work on a canvas, you’ll be planting and decorating a terrarium. The event starts at 7 pm at the Iron Monkey and costs $45/pp (which covers the cost of the terrarium, rocks, moss, and more).

Thursday: Newport’s Komegashi Too will host a Cask & Crew whiskey tasting tonight. The tasting will run from 6pm to 8pm.

Thursday: The Jersey City Theater Center is launching ARTSpeak — a fun, informal Q&A with local artists where audience members are encouraged to ask questions — no matter how off-the-wall or quirky. The event will be held at Merseles Studios at 7:30pm and kicks off with artists Ekaterina Abramova and Luis Alves. A $5 donation is suggested.

Friday: The Grind Coffee Shop is celebrating the start of the weekend with a night of jazz at its coffee shop. The BYOB event is open to all and kicks off at 6pm.

Saturday: Relive your high school days at the Totally Awesome 80s Prom. Held at the Barrow Mansion, this adult party will celebrate everything 80s — from music to fashion. Proceeds ($25/pp) will benefit the Van Vorst Park Association.

Saturday: CarePoint Health and The Beacon have teamed up for the 1st Annual Health Awareness Day. The event, which will be hosted at The Beacon, will feature healthy eats, fitness classes, live music, and more.

Saturday: Holi Hai is the Hindu festival of colors signaling the victory of good over evil (spring over winter). For the 9th consecutive year, the Exchange Place waterfront will host Surati Holi Hai 2017. The family-friendly, all-day event will include food, a cash bar, colors bar, and more. 

Saturday: Strut your mutt at the Walking Dog Petcare’s 1st Annual Dog Show. The informal show will be held underneath the 14th Street viaduct in Hoboken. The dog that wins “Best in Show” will win a free week of services from The Walking Dog Petcare. Registration is $10 and all proceeds will benefit New York Bully Crew, a 501c3 not-for-profit rescue organization.

Saturday: Bespoken is Jersey City’s first indie wedding showcase. The event will be held at Cathedral Hall and it’ll spotlight local florists, designers, makeup artists, and more. Tickets are $10/pp, but use coupon code “GETBESPOKEN” to snag two tickets for $15.
