Monday: Hudson Restaurant Week has finally arrived! Through August 4, participating restaurants will offer discounted prix fixe menus showcasing some of their best appetizers and entrees. Participants include FM, Latham House, Halifax, and Porter Collins, to name a few. You can scope out the full list of restaurants here. New York’s Restaurant Week also kicks off today and runs through August 18.

Monday: Today marks the first full week of Edible New Jersey’s 6th Annual Eat Drink Local Week. Through July 30, various restaurants throughout the Garden State will showcase the state’s local bounty through special menus and cocktails. Local participants include Bucket & Bay, Honshu Lounge, and Razza.

Tuesday: No Dominion Theatre Co. debuts its new series of staged readings — Theatre in the Heights — today at The Hutton. The reading starts at 7:30pm and costs $15/pp online or $20 at the door. Refreshments will be provided.

Tuesday: Who doesn’t like a lovely rosé on a warm summer day? Jersey Wine & Spirits and Van Hook Cheese are hosting a Rosé and Cheese Pairing where you’ll get to enjoy 5 rosés alongside 5 cheeses. Tickets are $40/pp and the fun starts at 7pm.

Wednesday: Tired of the over-priced multiplex? If you’re looking for an old-school movie-going experience, head to Surf City, where they’re recreating the drive-in movie experience with Movies on The Beach. The weekly screening lets you enjoy a perfect summer night while watching a movie on the big-screen (car not necessary). Movie night debuts with a screening of Jaws.

Wednesday: Fast-casual restaurant Cava is opening at 30 Montgomery (corner of Greene) today. From 12pm to 2pm you’ll be able to score a free lunch at the newly opened spot. You can check out their menu online.

Friday: The weekend is almost here and it’s time to indulge. What better way to do that than with Bacon Fest — Zeppelin Hall’s annual food festival dedicated to all things pig and bacon. The festival runs through August 12 with a special bacon menu created by executive chef Franco Robazetti.
