Best Things to Do in Jersey City Week of 7/31

Monday: Reminder — this is your last week to take advantage of Hudson Restaurant Week. The local restaurant deals come to an end this Friday, August 4. New York’s Restaurant Week goes on for another three weeks through Friday, August 18.

Tuesday: The wait is over. Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar will open to the public today at 11am. The restaurant is located inside Newport Centre Mall’s East entrance (by the Light Rail stop and opposite The Cheesecake Factory).

Tuesday: Head to Talde for a Filipino dinner of epic proportions. Kamayan Night is an all-you-can-eat, family-style dinner. Tickets are $65/pp and that unlimited eats along with unlimited Calamansi punch and San Miguel beer (a Filipino pale lager).

Wednesday: The Hip to Hip Theatre Company presents Shakespeare in the Park at Newport Green. The company will perform Henry IV, Part 1: The Prince and the Rebel followed by Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure. Shakespeare in the Park starts at 6:30pm and wraps up at 8pm. There will be a special kids’ workshop at 6pm.

Thursday: Time flies when you’re having fun and serving up killer veggie food. Join Pet Shop JC as they celebrate their 1-year anniversary with a never-ending happy hour (!) and Entenmann’s donut buffet (!!).

Thursday: Get a jump start on the weekend as New York DJs Sleepy & Boo return to Red at Raval for another night of deep house and underground vibes. Best of all, admission is free. The underground party starts at 9pm.

Friday: Paella lovers, unite. Today marks the start of Surf City’s Paella Fest featuring 10 different paellas from the classic marinera (seafood), to a Cajun paella, vegetarian paella, and an arroz con leche paella. Plus, Surf City will be serving up four different styles of sangria. Paella Fest runs through August 20.
