Best Things to Do in Jersey City Week of 9/25

From the season finale of Lincoln Park Live to a foodie networking meetup at the Whealth Cafe, here’s the best of what’s happening in Jersey City this final week of September. 

Monday: Today is the start of Bee’s Knees Week at Third & Vine. The Village bar will spotlight Bee’s Knees cocktails using Barr Hill Gin and local honey. A portion of sales will help support beekeepers.

Tuesday: PS Wine Bar and Lourdes of the Vine are hosting an Old World vs. New World Wine Throwdown. You’ll be tasting four Old World wines and four New World wines along with cheeses from around the world. Tickets are $45/pp.

Wednesday: Tonight is the season finale of Lincoln Park Live: Music at the Fountain. The free outdoor event will close with a performance by the David Cedeño Orchestra.

Thursday: Jersey City’s foodie scene has been blowing up as of late. Meet the the entrepreneurs behind Whealth, Midnight Market, Hudson Kitchen, and Jersey Girls Food Tours at this free networking Q&A Foodie Meetup held at the Whealth Cafe at JSQ.

Thursday: Jersey City Fashion Week is back for its 7th season. The opening party will be followed by several days of fashion shows, events, and programs dedicated to highlighting fashion and the community. Part of the proceeds will be donated to several charities.

Thursday: The world’s best golfers are descending upon Liberty National Golf Club today for the The Presidents Cup — a 4-day tournament that pits the U.S.’s best golfers against teams of international golfers. Tickets start at $50/pp and all proceeds from the event will benefit charities across the globe.

Friday: Celebrate Oktoberfest Jersey City style at the Zeppelin Hall Biergarten. Oktoberfest will run through October 15 and include a special German-inspired menu with dishes such as Saurerkraut and Sausage Soup, Schweinebraten (roasted pork), and Schweinshaxe (roasted ham hock). Plus, there will be live German bands (Thurs – Sat nights).

Friday: The weekend is almost here and that means it’s time for a family-style dinner at the Whealth Cafe at Journal Squared. The 3-course prix fixe meal costs $45/pp (BYOB). Check out their site for details on the menu.
