The Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza will host a candle light vigil Tuesday, June 14th at 8pm to mourn the victims of the horrific shooting at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub this past weekend. The event will also serve as platform to speak out against home-grown and international hate towards the LGBT community and all communities.
“It’s moments like these that again makes us remember we have ways to go, people to change, and a country to evolve,” said Michael Billy as cited by The Jersey Journal. Billy is the organizer of the event and one of Jersey City’s LGBT Pride producers. —Candle Light Vigil for Orlando LGBT Community
