**The Gateway Tunnel project could be in jeopardy once again. City officials need to come up with $440 million to construct a small portion of the tunnel — the part that connects it with Penn Station. That section must be constructed in sync with the construction of Hudson Yards, since the Gateway tunnel will cross through Hudson Yards to reach Penn Station. But without the funds, this critical section can’t be built out. —Crains
