Rooftop at Exchange PlaceCraft cocktails, a swanky interior, and unparalleled views of New York are a glimpse of what you can expect from the newly opened Rooftop at Exchange Place.

Perched on the 13th floor of the redesigned Hyatt House at 1 Exchange Place, The Terrace has no structures blocking its New York views, which means you’ll get Instagram worthy photos of everything from the Empire State to the Statue of Liberty.

The Terrace has a very modern and open layout with comfy couches, a bar area, tables, and a glass-enclosed area, which boasts the killer views.

At a recent media event, we got to sample cocktails such as the One X & Only (Ketel One vodka, strawberry syrup, mint, ginger beer, lime) and The Stanton (Old Forester 86 bourbon, porter syrup, lemon juice). Both cocktails were mixed perfectly, though given the cold weather, we particularly liked The Stanton which is served hot and makes for the perfect winter drink. For non-alcohol drinkers, there’s also a menu of “Zero Proof” cocktails (mocktails) made with an assortment of syrups and juices.

As far as food is concerned, you can expect items such as tuna tartare, hummus with flatbread, house-made meatballs on garlic crostini, and burrata, among other choices.

Although The Terrace has killer views, it’s completely enclosed. Later this spring the hotel will open the Rooftop, which is bound to bring Jersey City’s cocktail game to an entirely new level, figuratively and literally.
