Spirit lovers in Jersey City and New York get ready: Jersey City’s first small batch distillery is opening this Saturday.
Located at 1 Distillery Drive (off Pacific Avenue), Corgi Spirits will produce small-batch, ultra-premium spirits suitable for drinking on their own or for mixing in cocktails — some of which they’ve already listed on their cocktail menu.
At launch, they’re expected to offer a range of gins and vodka, including a six times distilled vodka and an Earl Grey gin. Over time, they also plan on launching special botanical blends, if you like spirits with floral or citrusy profiles.
Named after the popular Welsh breed of dog, the space consists of the distillery, the tasting room, and the lounge. They’ll offer tours of the facilities — where you can meet the Copper Lady herself — and patrons will be able to book the lounge for special events, birthdays, or other nighttime rendezvous.
For those looking to swig on some made-in-Jersey City libations, Saturday’s mini opening will begins at 4pm and ends at 10pm.
