In the News: La Festa Italiana Starts on Wed, All About Downtown Fest Gets Extra Hours

**La Festa Italiana (pictured above) began in 1902 as a street festival in honor of Our Lady of the Assumption and St. Rocco. Years later, thousands of parishioners (and non-parishioners) from Holy Rosary Church in downtown Jersey City’s Village neighborhood are still celebrating. The 5-night food, crafts, and music fest kicks off this Wednesday and runs daily from 5pm till 11pm. On its last night, Sunday, it will run from 12pm till 9pm. —La Festa Italiana

**The Historic Downtown Special Improvement District  (HDSID) has announced that it’s extending the hours of this year’s 5th annual All About Downtown Festival. The food fest, which last year ran from 11am till 6pm, will now run an extra two hours and wrap up at 8pm. The All About Downtown Festival will take place on Saturday, September 19 and run from Grove Plaza to Jersey Avenue. —NJ.com

**Club Transmission, located on 150 Bay Street, had its soft opening this past Friday. NJ.com recently interviewed the owner, Australian Howard Brunner, who says his club is “all about the music” and promises everyone who comes will be treated as a VIP. —NJ.com

**JPMorgan Chase is moving more than 2,150 jobs from New York to New Jersey. Thanks to an incentive program offered by the state of New Jersey, JPMorgan Chase is expected to pocket $19 million in subsidies for making the move to New Jersey. Reuters
