**It’s official. After quietly removing its refrigeration and closing its marketplace last week, Carrino Provisions has announced via Instagram that it will turn its former marketplace area into a sports bar that will show football, soccer, baseball, basketball, hockey, and all major pro and college sports. There will be 4 TVs inside and a projector in the courtyard. Eater also reports that the restaurant in the back will also close down and get a complete revamp with a new “name, vibe, and menu.” –Carrino Provisions via Instagram
**WTC Path commuters will get a nice surprise this week as the Port Authority has announced it will open a new entrance inside the Oculus Pavilion that will give commuters underground access to the WTC hub’s west concourse. This should help ease the bottleneck that occurs when everyone is forced to exit onto Vesey Street. —NJ.com
**The Port Authority is considering building a $7.4 billion-dollar freight rail tunnel between Jersey City and Brooklyn to curb pollution and reduce congestion in the tunnels. The tunnel would carry rail cars only, even though the PA already operates such a tunnel connecting Greenville with Brooklyn. —NJ.com
**Green Hook is the latest restaurant to open in downtown. According to NJ Monthly, the restaurant’s focus is on affordable modern American food and craft beer with offerings like Asian meatballs (made with duck and hoisin), homemade arepas, and lobster agnolotti. The restaurant is located on 70 Greene Street and led by executive chef David Drake. —NJ Monthly
