**Downtown Jersey City’s very own Torico’s Ice Cream made an appearance on the Food Network’s latest series, Great American Food Finds. The show follows two brothers, Adam and Andrew Erace, as they track down little-known establishments from coast to coast. You can catch the series premiere again this coming weekend on Food Network. (Hopefully they’ll make it available online as well). –Torico’s via Facebook

**Craft gelato shop Bucket & Bay was featured on VH1’s The 20 Video Countdown with host Shannon Coffey this past weekend. You can catch owner Jen Kavlakov teaching Coffey how to make rose latte gelato in this video here. Also, check out my review to see why Bucket and Bay is my favorite dessert shop in Jersey City to date. —VH1

**”Ninety-nine percent of coffee served is stale. We are part of the 1 percent.” That’s the bold claim made by Jersey City Heights-based Modcup coffee, which was featured in NJ.com. Their coffee is truly unlike any other and if you don’t have access to their Heights location, you can also purchase Modcup coffee at The Kitchen at Grove Station, Bucket & Bay, and via the Modcup Mobile Roaster (usually parked outside the Hyatt at Exchange Place on weekdays). —NJ.com

**NJ.com interviewed the owners of the health food-focused cafe Short Grain. Located behind City Hall, Short Grain has an Asian-inspired menu with items like Vietnamese cold brew, pork belly banh mi, and rice paper rolls. It’s a great addition to the downtown neighborhood if you’re looking for vegetarian/health food options. —NJ.com
