**Hamilton Pork — the new BBQ restaurant located near the Hamilton Inn — is set to open its doors “very soon” per the restaurant’s social media accounts. You can take a look at its work-in-progress beer menu via Instagram. —IG

**Meanwhile on Newark Avenue, Miso Ramen is also looking to open as soon as possible. Although the restaurant has once again covered its front doors with brown paper, the interior was looking very close to finished just a few days ago.

**Chef Ryan DePersio’s new restaurant The Kitchen Step is still slated to open early winter 2016. DePersio, who also heads up Battello in Newport, is taking over the former Thirty Acres spot. You can follow updates via the restaurant’s Facebook page. —FB

**Per Jersey City Eats, Cafe Batata has now opened. The restaurant, which is located on 382 Second Street, has a Brazilian-inspired menu with plenty of cream-heavy entrees that feature catupiry (a Brazilian brand of cream cheese), such as bacon and catupiry ($11.95) and chicken and catupiry ($10.95). Entree prices range from $8.95 to $14.95. You can take a peek at the menu via Yelp. —JC Eats
