Japanese Fast-Casual Chain Kobeyaki Opening Soon in Newport

0

Newport’s lunch scene will soon get a major upgrade.

Fast-casual Asian restaurant Kobeyaki is set to open soon at 525 Washington Boulevard.

Kobeyaki, which has locations throughout Manhattan, specializes in healthy lunch options dishing out sushi rolls, customizable bowls, Asian buns, burgers, salads, and soups.

Newport lunchers will be able to mix-and-match their bowls with their choice of rice, salad, or noodles as the base. Bowl toppings include proteins such as grilled chicken, beef, shrimp, or veggies.

Kobeyaki’s menu will feature a variety of other options with prices that max out at $10.86. You can expect cooked rolls ($7.81 to $10.36), raw rolls ($9.87), rice/salad/noodle bowls ($9.27 to $10.86), burgers ($9.27), and ramen/udon soups ($9.27).

Although some New York locations morph into izakaya-style dinner spots at night with various Asian beers on draft, it’s not clear if the Newport location will serve alcohol. (We didn’t spot it on the menu).

There’s no official launch date, but the interior looks very close to being finished. We’ve reached out to Kobeyaki for more info. In the meantime you can check out the full menu below.
