Waterfront and Liberty State Park are top spots for outdoor exercise
A new map by fitness tracker Strava reveals (not surprisingly) that runners and cyclists in Jersey City prefer to get their daily endorphin kick along the waterfront and Liberty State Park. Hamilton Park and Jersey Avenue are also popular routes. Outside of downtown, Lincoln Park attracts its fair share of runners and cyclists, whereas across the Hudson, Central Park and the Henry Hudson Parkway are among the top spots. —Strava Labs

Midnight Market lands in Brooklyn
New Jersey is about to show Brooklyn what a real foodie market is made of. What started off as a gathering of foodies at the Harborside Atrium has been so successful that Midnight Market NJ will soon launch a foodie market in Brooklyn. Midnight Market Brooklyn is scheduled for Saturday, March 17. A location will soon be disclosed. —Midnight Market Brooklyn

New bar opening at the former Lisbon restaurant
Goodbye, paella — hello, drag night. A new bar is opening in the former home of the Lisbon restaurant at 100 York Street. Have a Night describes the new bar — called The Royal — as Jersey City’s second gay bar with drag bingo brunch on Sundays and drag night on Tuesdays. Owners and local residents Paul Cate and George Makrogiannis are also responsible for the recently opened Buddy Who’s. —Have A Night

Path ridership skyrockets in 2017
82.8 million. That’s the number of commuters who crammed, squeezed, and pushed their way onto PATH trains in 2017. It’s 4.3 million more than 2016 and it’s the third time this decade that PATH ridership breaks records. What’s the Port Authority doing to ease congestion? One solution is to expand the Grove Street station to allow for 10-car trains. —NJ.com
