Neighborhood Events: Ciders & Cheeses of France at Würstbar, New Beer Releases at Departed Soles Brewery

Tuesday: Marketplace JC is back at the Harborside Atrium with a variety of returning and new vendors. Among them you’ll find Al Richard’s Fine Chocolates, Penelope Traveling Boutique, Outer Limits Hot Sauce, Taproot Organics, and more. The market is open to everyone and runs every Tuesday from 11am to 3pm.

Tuesday: Würstbar and Van Hook Cheese invite you on a culinary tour of France’s Ciders and Cheeses. The 2-hour tasting starts at 7pm at Würstbar. Tickets are $50/pp.

Wednesday: Jersey City Small Business and Luca Cusolito, founder of the Creative Enabler, are hosting a class on how to make the most of your Facebook Business profile. From strategies to best practices — it’s your chance to master Facebook for your business. The free class will be held at City Hall from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Wednesday: Tired of the single life? Pet Shop JC is hosting an evening of love advice, mingling, and pick-up tips. Learn how to flirt online or take the ultimate online profile photo with Honey & Moon Photography. “Love to Love Ya, Baby” runs from 8pm to 11pm with an after party at PS Wine Bar.

Wednesday: If the warm weather has you thinking of outdoor movies Brookfield Place New York has released its movie screening schedule through the month of March 15th. The first movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, will be screened for free this Wednesday at the Winter Garden.

Thursday: Departed Soles will debut two new beers this evening — Konstantine Kolsch and Island Gurl Milkshake IPA. The former is described as an “easy drinking Kolsch that is beautifully complex beyond the surface,” whereas Island Gurl is described as a “hoppy piña colada” dry hopped with Mosaic and Citra and aged with a few pounds of coconut. A portion of the proceeds from opening week/weekend will be donated to the Dear Jack Foundation, which helps adolescents and teenagers diagnosed with cancer.

Thursday: Van Hook Cheese and Jersey Wine & Spirits are teaming up for a class on the wines and cheese of Spain. The class runs from 7pm to 8.30pm.

Friday: Live Jazz Nights are back at the Grind Coffee Shop. The series returns Friday at 6pm with music by Conundrum. The event is free and BYOB glasses will be provided.

Sunday: Boutique gym 8 Springs Studio is holding a class on the benefits of therapeutic essential oils for athletes. The class will cover what they are, how to use them, application methods, and which oils best support recovery after a workout.
