Neighborhood Events: Cocktail Class at Atlas, Wine Dinner at Third & Vine, Whiskey Tasting at Satis

Tuesday: Edward’s Steakhouse is hosting a wine tasting featuring the wines of St. Supéry Estate Vineyards in Napa Valley, CA. The event will  include a meet and greet with Emma Swain, CEO of St. Supéry Estate. RSVP required; tickets are $30/pp.

Tuesday: The Jersey City Ballroom is throwing an Open House Dance Party for new and current members. The free event runs from 9.15pm to 10pm.

Tuesday: Marketplace JC is back at the Harborside Atrium with a variety of returning and new vendors. Among them you’ll find Outer Limits Hot Sauce, Taproot Organics, and more. The market is open to everyone and runs every Tuesday from 11am to 3pm.

Tuesday: Get a jump start on Pi Day with a molecular cocktail class at Atlas Public House. The event starts at 7pm and costs $40/pp. It includes a four-course cocktail menu with Pi Day-inspired fare. Reservations are required.

Wednesday: Tap That NJ is hosting a mixer and speed dating event at HopsScotch. Tickets cost $25/pp at the door and the night will include a pre-event mixer, one hour of speed dating rounds (from 7pm to 8pm), and a post event mixer (from 8pm to 9pm).

Wednesday: Satis Bistro is hosting a 4-course whiskey tasting and dinner. The whiskeys include Wyoming Outryder, New York Distilling Co. Ragtime Rye, Journeyman Last Feather Rye, and Dad’s Hat Straight Rye. The event costs $55/pp and an RSVP is required.

Wednesday: If you prefer wine over whiskey, Madame Claude Bis is hosting a tasting of the wines of southwest France. Tickets are $60/pp and includes 5 wines and food pairing.

Thursday: Mana Wine and The Educated Grape are hosting a wine class/tasting on cool- vs. warm-climate wines. Attendees will be able to taste the differences and experience what makes the wines from each climate unique. Tickets are $65/pp.

Thursday: Napa Valley wine lovers, listen up. Third & Vine is hosting a Wine Dinner with Trevor Durling of Provenance Vineyards. Tickets are $75/pp and include a variety of small plates by chef Lynn Wheeler and a tasting of at least 8 wines, including a vertical of Hewitt Cabernet Sauvignon and a wine from To Kalon Vineyard.

Thursday: Jersey City Tech Meet Up hosts monthly meetings on technology and innovation. The next meet up will take place at Departed Soles with Phil Petracca, Shark Tank Survivor and CEO of Fizzics, a company that looks to scientifically enrich the aroma, flavor and taste of beer, while protecting its integrity.

Friday: Get a jump start on St. Patrick’s Day at Friday night’s Midnight Market at the Harborside Atrium. The street food fest will include a host of new food vendors like pastry chef Baking Mama, Callahan’s Hot Dogs, and Gusti Di Sicilia.

Saturday: Take your furry friends for a photo opp with another furry friend — the Easter bunny. The Liberty Humane Society is hosting an Easter Bunny photo opp. Photos cost $15 (suggested donation) and proceeds will benefit the LHS.
