**Departed Soles — whose Modcup of Sole recently won silver at the Atlantic City Beer & Music Fest — has a new brew debuting this Thursday. Powerhouse Ale, named for the neighborhood where it was created, is described as having a “nice bitterness and touch of pale malt, then has a jolt of candy and citrus flavor, followed by just a touch of that farmhouse fruit tart flavoring on the end.” Departed Soles

**A man has been charged with stealing $20k worth of Canada Dry soda from the ShopRite on Marin Boulveard. The Bergen County delivery driver allegedly stole the Canada Dry products between November and January. —NJ.com
