**Jersey City has been named one of the top, up and coming cities for small businesses and entrepreneurs by Entrepreneur magazine. According to the website, this is partially due to local government which is incentivizing businesses with lower taxes. —Entrepreneur

**Jersey City has won Curbed’s “Neighborhood of the Year Award” beating out favorites like Greenpoint, the South Village, and New York’s Financial District. It’s the first time that an “outside” neighborhood has won the blog’s Curbed Cup. —Curbed

**USA Today and Instagram have released a list of the most Instagrammed restaurants in each state. In New Jersey, downtown’s Liberty House Restaurant took home the honor, whereas in New York the Sugar Factory was the most geo-tagged eatery in the state. —USA Today

  1. Liberty House Restaurant is not downtown but is inside Liberty State Park. It is an excellent restaurant as is Maritime Parc which is on the other side of the park’s marina parking lot.
