**This Thursday is Van Hook Cheese’s ribbon-cutting ceremony. Mayor Fulop will be on site at Van Hook Cheese at 11.45am to officially welcome the new cheese and grocery store to the neighborhood. —Van Hook Cheese

**Staten Island officials want to construct “air gondolas” between SI and Bayonne in an effort to get SI residents into New York City. The idea is to have the gondolas drop passengers off at the Bayonne Light Rail stop where they’ll take the Light Rail to the PATH and the PATH to New York.
