New Jersey’s Powerflow Yoga Will Soon Open at The Morgan

Powerflow Yoga is looking to whip Jersey City into shape both physically and mentally.

Specializing in hot power Vinyasa yoga — a flowing form of yoga held in a 95-degree room — the New Jersey-based yoga studio will soon open at the ground floor of The Morgan on the corner of Marin and Bay Street.

In addition to Vinyasa, Powerflow Yoga will also offer Warm Vinyasa Basics Yoga (designed for beginners), Core Fusion, and Yin Yoga classes (targeting the dense connective tissues of the body). Amenities include changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers.

Powerflow Yoga was founded in 2008 and has studios throughout New Jersey including Hoboken, Asbury Park, Morristown, and Clifton.

Construction at the Jersey City studio is slated to wrap up at the end of this month with plans to open soon after in February. New students can try their first week for free and can purchase a 1-month unlimited package for $99 at the end of their free week.

  1. Hi there,
I have two questions regarding the membership:
    1. Is unlimited access the only purchase option?
    2. I am a residence at the Morgan. Is there any special promotion for us residence in this building?

    Thanks,
    Phoebe

    • Hi Phoebe,
For membership, it looks like you have a few options. For example, you can purchase single (drop-in), packages, monthly unlimited, or yearly unlimited.

As for discounts — I would imagine The Morgan and Powerflow may work something out to give residents a discount, but nothing is set in stone. Your best bet would be to wait and ask staff at Powerflow once they open.

      • Thanks for the reply! Two follow-up questions:
        A) the post says it’s 99 for monthly unlimited whereas the link in your reply said 175. How come the price difference?
        B) which day is it open?

        • No problem!
A–The $99 is a special rate that they’re offering (so after you finish your 1st week — you pay $99 for unlimited monthly if you sign up). Let’s say you don’t sign up and you wait a few weeks — then you’d have to pay the full price $175.
B–I asked when they expect to be open and they could only estimate that they’d open this month. I don’t think I’ve seen any official signage from them along the exterior of the building, so I would imagine they’re still a few days off from opening. But hopefully soon!
