Journal Square is undergoing a massive redevelopment stage and new renderings obtained by NJ.com show what the iconic Jersey Journal building — otherwise known as 30 Journal Square — could look like if city officials sign off on a new proposal. 30 Journal Square would keep its fire engine red Jersey Journal logo — and much of the building would actually look somewhat similar — but a pedestrian walkway with retail shops on both sides would cut through the ground floor and lead to a 1,400-square-foot public plaza behind the building. Also located behind the building would be a residential tower (facing Enos Place and Newkirk Street) with no height restrictions. Should designers keep the Jersey Journal logo or is it time it got taken down? —NJ.com
