The Newport skyline will undergo some major changes in the coming years.

Mayor Steven Fulop and executives from developer Strategic Capital recently broke ground on Newport’s newest luxury project — Park and Shore.

Park and Shore will consist of two buildings: 75 Park Lane and Shore House.

75 Park Lane will stand 37 stories tall and house 358 residences ranging from studios to three-bedrooms. One-bedroom units will start at $650,000.

Across the street will rise Shore House, which developers describe as Tribeca meets Brooklyn. The Shore House will be significantly smaller with just 71 one-and two-bedroom units. Prices at the Shore House will also start at $650,000.

Both developments will be designed by Woods Bagot, the interior design firm behind New York’s upscale Baccarat Hotel & Residences. They’ll also feature top-of-the-line amenities like an Olympic-size lap pool, spa, fitness center, children’s play area, game rooms, golf simulators, co-working areas, and even a private wine-tasting lounge with dining room.

Along with LeFrak’s Ellipse (which is rapidly rising), these developments will dominate the new Newport skyline.

Sales for Park and Shore are expected to begin in early 2017.
