Rumba Cubana Now Open for Lunch and Dinner

In the mood for some tostones or a perfectly-pressed Cubano?

Rumba Cubana is officially open for lunch and dinner at Hamilton Park.

The restaurant is located at 237 Pavonia Avenue (across from Madame Claude Wine and the forthcoming Van Hook Cheese sandwich shop).

The restaurant’s extensive menu offers a mix of Spanish, African, and Caribbean eats with traditional dishes like vaca frita (crispy shredded flank steak, seared with garlic, onions, lime, and mojo); ropa vieja (slow-cooked shredded beef with tomato, peppers, and onions); and lechón asado (Cuban-style pork marinated for 24 hours, slowly roasted and pulled, topped with grilled onions and mojo).

We’re particularly excited about Rumba Cubana’s lunch menu, which offers different dishes based on the day. Lunch specials include lomo de cerdo (roasted pork loin for $6.45), pollo asado (roasted chicken for $5.95), and rabo encendido (oxtail in sauce for $9.95).

Lunch is available from 11am to 3pm and most items are comfortably priced under $10, which makes it — at least on paper — one of the better bargains in the downtown area.
