Start the weekend off right at the Filipino Food & Drinks Fest, a smorgasbord of Filipino cuisine and drinks held at the Skyline at 160 Hudson Street. Or attend a wine tasting hosted by JCity Realty, Super Buy Rite, and Whealth to benefit Art House Productions. Fútbol fans can also catch El Clásico — FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid CF — at Raval Saturday afternoon.

What: Tipanan Filipino Food & Drinks
When: Friday, April 1 from 6pm – 9pm
Where: Skyline at NJCU School of Business at 160 Hudson Street
Tipanan, which means a meeting/gathering in Tagalog, is a celebration of Filipino food and drinks. The event will feature the cuisine of four Filipino-American chefs — Froilan Serenas, Altas Manuel Amante, Ryan Postadan, and Mia Lontoc — along with food from Max’s and Bibingkafe. Author and LITM owner Jelynne Jardiniano will serve Filipino-flavored cocktails and there will be live music featuring Angel Ram and an art exhibit by Jamaila Hernandez. Tickets are $37 per person.

What: Wine Tasting to Support Art House Productions
When: Friday, April 1 from 7pm – 10pm
Where: Art House Productions at 136 Magnolia Avenue
Art House Productions, JCity Realty, Whealth, and discount wine shop Super Buy Rite are hosting a wine soiree this Friday night to support Art House’s rebuilding efforts after a recent flood. There will be live jazz by the Bryan Beninghove Trio and small bites/plates by Whealth. Tickets cost $50 per person and will benefit Art House Productions, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting and growing the arts scene in Jersey City.

When: Saturday, April 2 at 2.30pm
Where: Raval at 136 Newark Avenue
The second clásico of the season has arrived and Real Madrid will be hoping to avenge their loss against Barcelona from earlier this season. Fútbol fans can catch the full game at Raval.
