What: Liberty Harbor’s 2nd Annual Block Party
When: Saturday, September 23 at 12pm to 5pm
Where: 30 Regent Street
Celebrate fall’s arrival at the 2nd Annual Liberty Harbor Block Party. Co-hosted by Marketplace JC, the family-friendly event will include local eats from the likes of Eemas Cuisine, Cocoa Bakery, the IncrediBalls Food Truck, and more. Plus, Zeppelin Hall will extend its outdoor area for the event and kids will have an inflatable bounce house on site to keep busy. Plus, New Jersey-based rock/pop cover band Guy Smiley will be playing live.

Where: Hamilton Park
Back for its 8th year, the Hamilton Park BBQ Festival is a day-long party showcasing the area’s best barbecue eats. Food vendors will include Hamilton Pork, Carlitos, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, and Jimmy’s BBQ, to name a few. Plus, there will be a complete lineup of local bands starting at 12pm. What: The Raven: Closing Party
When: Saturday, September 23 at 1pm to 10pm
Where: 304 Newark Avenue
After a 3.5-year run, the Raven Gallery & Boutique is closing shop. Bid the gallery a final farewell at this all-day party celebrating all of the Raven’s accomplishments — 24 art shows, 15 JC Fridays, 12 special events, and over 150 artists showcased.

What: Tales of Our Cities: Jersey City’s 9th Annual Book Festival
When: Sunday, September 24 at 11am to 4pm
Where: Van Vorst Park
The end of summer can only mean one thing. It’s time for Jersey City’s 9th Annual Book Festival. The fest is a chance to meet and hear presentations from local authors while relaxing at Van Vorst Park and enjoying eats from Muttley Royale and Milk Sugar Love. Authors speaking at this year’s event include Jersey City activist and commentator Haroon Moghul (author of How to Be a Muslim) and musician and actor Val Emmich (author of The Reminders). Bambino Chef will also be at the event teaching kids how to make healthy eats.

What: Sunday Happy Hour Series at Atlas Public House
When: Sunday, September 24 at 12:30pm to 6:30pm
Where: Atlas at 130 Newark Avenue
Join Have a Night as they kick off their first Sunday Happy Hour Series at Atlas Public House today. The free-to-attend event is an extended, all-day happy hour with cheap eats and drinks. An RSVP is required to take part in the specials, which include $5 draft beers, $5 wines, $8 cocktails, and $4 to $8 appetizers.
