From the 1st Annual Beer Fest at Harborside to Iris Record’s 20th anniversary dance party at Cathedral Hall — we present our top picks for what to see, eat, and do in Jersey City this weekend.

What: CKO Kickboxing Appreciation Night
When: Friday, October 14 from 10pm – 12am
Where: Transmission at 150 Bay Street
Join CKO Kickboxing for its first annual appreciation night. There will be live music and an open bar from 10pm through midnight. Cost is $36 per person.

What: Whealth Run the Harborside 5K Run/Walk
When: Saturday, October 15 at 10am
Where: Harborside Esplanade (entrance by Henry’s on the Hudson)
Start the weekend with a group 5K run along the Jersey City waterfront, led by avid runners David Trotta of Whealth and Jesse Barton of CKO Kickboxing. The run is followed by a quick cool down/meditation and a healthy meal by Whealth. Tickets are $10 per person.

What: 1st Annual Harborside Craft Brew Festival
When: Saturday, October 15 from 12pm – 4pm; 5.30pm – 9.30pm
Where: Harborside 3 Atrium (entrance by PATH Exchange Place Station)
The Harborside Craft Brew Festival is a celebration of all things beer with over 150 styles of suds to sample. Local breweries at the fest include New Jersey Beer Co., Ironbound Hard Cider, 902 Brewing Company, Dark City Brewing Company, and Jersey City’s own Departed Soles. Tickets are $65/person, but use coupon code “JCUpfront” to take $20 off admission.

What: Lafayette Neighborhood Oktoberfest
When: Saturday, October 15 from 12pm – 8pm
Where: The Baker Building at 234 Suydam Avenue
Point Capital Development is throwing its first Oktoberfest for the Bergen Lafayette neighborhood. The event will include live music, food trucks, and a beer garden by Satis Bistro, Raval, and Lucky 7 Tavern. The all-day event is open to everyone.

What: Iris Records 20th Anniversary Party
When: Saturday, October 15 from 9pm – 3am
Where: Cathedral Hall at 380 Montgomery Street
Iris Records is celebrating its 20th anniversary with an all-vinyl dance party at the newly opened Cathedral Hall at 380 Montgomery. The party will feature live DJs spinning rock, R&B, soul, funk, disco, and house in a laid-back atmosphere. There will be a full cash bar and admission is free for everyone.

What: Hamilton Park House Tour Fundraiser
When: Sunday, October 16 from 10am – 4pm
Where: Hamilton Park
The Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association (HPNA) is holding its first House Tour this Sunday. The self-guided, walking tour will spotlight some of Hamilton Park’s finest homes, retail stores, and restaurants. Tickets cost $30 ($35 day of) and 100% of the proceeds will benefit downtown’s St. Lucy’s Shelter, which has been serving New Jersey’s homeless, abused/neglected children, and the elderly since 1986.

What: 6th Borough Market
When: Sunday, October 16 from 11am – 5pm
Where: Harborside Plaza 4 at Columbus Drive & Hudson Street
6th Borough Market is an outdoor market featuring a variety of local crafts and food. Located steps away from the PATH Exchange Place station, the market is free, family-friendly, and open every 1st and 3rd Sunday through October. Guest DJ Nick Neutron will be playing live music. This Sunday is 6th Borough’s penultimate market, so make sure you attend before the final market on October 30.

What: Belles in Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch
When: Sunday, October 16 from 1pm – 5pm
Where: Culinary Conference Center at Hudson County Community College
The Belles in Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch is a fundraiser to raise awareness for breast cancer. The event will feature guest speaker, Amber Marchese, breast cancer survivor and star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Tickets for the event cost $35 and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation.
