Where: Brightside Tavern at 141 Bright Street
Awesome Marchers — a non-profit, Jersey City-based activist group — is hosting a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood at the Brightside Tavern Friday evening. Admission is $20/pp and all proceeds will benefit Planned Parenthood.

What: Grinding After Dark at The Grind Shop Coffee
When: Friday, March 31 from 7pm to 10pm
Where: 360 Communipaw Avenue
The Grind Shop Coffee is hosting an artist showcase Friday evening featuring art work by Mateo Ahki, Petey x Kraze, Crimeapple, Naja Young, Theefather-Thawav, and Jalisa. The BYOB event is open to all.

Athleisure clothing company Lululemon will be at 8 Springs Studio this Saturday for a trunk show showcasing its Nulux line of apparel, which is designed specifically for cardio workouts.

What: Whealth 5K Harborside Run/Walk
When: Saturday, April 1 at 10am
Where: Whealth Cafe at Harborside
Start the weekend with a gorgeous 5K run (or walk) along the Jersey City waterfront, led by avid runners David Trotta of Whealth and Jesse Barton of CKO Kickboxing. The casual run is open to all fitness levels and is followed by a quick cool down/meditation session and a healthy meal at the Whealth Harborside Cafe.

When: Saturday, April 1 from 10am to 2pm
Where: Harborside Atrium by Exchange Place
JCFamilies is throwing a family-friendly spring festival by the waterfront this Saturday. The event will include live music, arts & crafts, photo sessions, magic show, local food vendors, and more. An RSVP is required to attend.

What: Juice Hip-Hop Exhibition
When: Saturday, April 1 from 1pm to 10pm
Where: Cathedral Hall at 380 Montgomery
Juice Hip-Hop Exhibition is an all-day celebration of everything hip-hop with a line-up of emcees, artists, deejays, dancers, and designers that live and breathe hip-hop culture. The event is intended to unite all of the elements of hip-hop and let the youth know what it’s really about. General admission costs $30.

When: Saturday, April 1 from 3pm to 6pm
Where: Downtown Jersey City
Jersey Girls Food Tours is offering a complimentary “drink pairing” during their Best of Downtown Food Tour this weekend. The drink pairing normally costs an additional $15 and includes beer, wine, or specialty cocktails. The tour will include food/stops at Würstbar, Órale, Van Hook Cheese, Pasta Dal Cuore, Pet Shop JC, and desserts from Jersey City Sweets.

What: 9th Annual NJ Wine & Food Festival
When: Friday, March 31 to Sunday, April 2
Where: Crystal Springs Resort in Sussex County, NJ
The NJ Wine & Food Festival is a weekend celebration of local and national chefs. This year the event will feature various Jersey City/Hoboken chefs including Ryan DePersio (Battello, Kitchen Step, Fascino), Chris Siverson (Maritime Parc), Seadon Shouse (Halifax Hoboken), and David Viana (formerly of Kitchen at Grove Station), and Robbie Felice (Viaggio in Wayne, NJ).
