The Weekender: Lucky 7’s BBQ Fest, Hamilton Park Diversity Festival

Lucky 7’s Rock ‘n Roll BBQ will kick off the weekend with live music, beer, and plenty of food. Also, be sure to check out the 3rd Annual Cultural Diversity Fest in Hamilton Park and the return of 6th Borough Market on Sunday. If you find yourself in New York, celebrate the French Revolution at Brookfield Place’s Bastille Day party.

What: Food Truck Rally at The Morgan
When: Friday, July 15 from 6pm – 9pm
Where: The Morgan at Provost Square (on corner of Marin and Bay Street)
The Morgan is hosting another Friday night food truck rally on the corner of Marin and Bay Street. Although they haven’t released what vendors will participate, last time we saw IncrediBalls Food Truck, Original SoupMan, Ms. Fu’s Yummy Food Truck, and Milk Sugar Love, among others.

What: 3rd Annual Cultural Diversity Festival
When: Saturday, July 16 from 10am – 2pm
Where: Hamilton Park
The Cultural Diversity Festival is a celebration of the various cultures that make up Jersey City, which is one of the most diverse cities in the country. The festival will feature an array of fun and culture-related activities for the entire family including arts & crafts, musical acts, dancers, and lots of delicious food.

What: 2016 Lucky 7’s Rock ‘n Roll BBQ
When: Saturday, July 16 from 1pm till 3am
Where: 322 Second Street (at Coles)
Lucky 7’s annual summer BBQ is back and will kick the weekend off with a full day of beer, whiskey, and live music. Bands include Adam & The Plants, RocknRoll HiFives, Overlake, and more. The music starts at 1pm and goes through 8.30pm.

What: 6th Borough Market 
When: Sunday, July 17 from 11am – 5pm
Where: Harborside Plaza 4 at Columbus Drive & Hudson Street
It’s time for the next 6th Borough Market, an outdoor market featuring a variety of local crafts and food. This weekend there will also be fashion trucks, Thai yoga massages, and a special visit from the Liberty Humane Society. 6th Borough Market is free and open to the public every 1st and 3rd Sunday through October.

What: Whealth Sunday Brunch
When: Sunday, July 17; seatings at 12pm & 2pm
Where: Trasmission at 150 Bay Street (corner of Provost)
Whealth and Transmission have partnered up to bring you a Sunday brunch like no other. For $25 per person you get your choice of any two brunch plates and a mimosa or Bloody Mary. (Extra plates are $9 each). Plus, you’ll get a free performance from a 4-piece jazz band and a DJ spinning classic jazz on vinyl. You can check out the full menu here.

What: Bastille Day at Brookfield Place
When: Saturday, July 16 from 11am till 6pm
Where: Brookfield Place (next to the WTC PATH Hub)
Add a little joie de vivre to your weekend at Brookfield Place, which is celebrating Bastille Day with a variety of French activities including mini performances from Les Miserables and the New York Theatre Ballet. The festivities kick off at 11am throughout the Winter Garden and the outdoor plaza.
