Holi Hai is the Hindu festival of colors (or festival of love) signaling the victory of good over evil (spring over winter). For the 9th consecutive year, the Exchange Place waterfront will host Surati Holi Hai 2017. The family-friendly, all-day event will include food, cash bar, colors bar, and more.

What: Hoboken’s 1st Annual Dog Show
When: Saturday, April 29 at 12pm to 3pm
Where: 14th Street Viaduct, Hoboken
The Walking Dog Petcare Dog is throwing Hoboken’s 1st Annual Dog Show. The event will be held underneath the 14th Street viaduct. The dog that wins “Best in Show” will win a free week of services from The Walking Dog Petcare. Categories include Best Rescue Story, Most Dapper Dog, The Waggiest Tail, and Best Owner/Pup Duo. Registration is $10 and all proceeds will benefit New York Bully Crew, a 501c3 not-for-profit rescue organization.

What: Bespoken Indie Wedding Showcase

Where: Cathedral Hall at 380 Montgomery Street
Bespoken is Jersey City’s first indie wedding showcase. The event will be held at Cathedral Hall and it’ll spotlight local florists, designers, makeup artists, and more. Tickets are $10/pp, but use coupon code “GETBESPOKEN” to snag two tickets for $15.

What: Totally Awesome 80s Prom
When: Saturday, April 29 from 7pm to 11pm
Where: Barrow Mansion at 83 Wayne Street
Relive your high school days at the Totally Awesome 80s Prom. Held at the Barrow Mansion, this adults-only party will include 80s music, food, drinks, and lots of nostalgia. Proceeds ($25/pp) will benefit the Van Vorst Park Association.

What: NJ FunnyFest
When: Saturday, April 29 at 7pm
Where: Raval at 136 Newark Avenue
NJ Funnyfest is coming to Raval this Saturday and as they’ve done in the past — they’re raising money to help the Liberty Humane Society. Tickets for the show are $15/pp and proceeds will benefit the LHS. The lineup includes Mike Recine (Conan), Usama Siddiquee (Yonkers Comedy Fest), Richie Redding (Katt Williams Tour), James Myers (Hoboken Comedy Fest), and Gracie Canaan (Make Me Laugh Albany). Tickets at the door will cost $25.
