Where: Liberty State Park
The ultimate obstacle course arrives in Jersey City this weekend offering mud-filled challenges on both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for participants and spectators are still available, though you better act quick if you want in.

What: Michelle Timek “Taste of Tuscany” Cooking Workshop
When: Saturday, November 7th from 12pm till 3pm
Where: 150 Bay Street (Unit 909)
Michelle Timek has been offering complimentary outdoor yoga classes on Jersey City’s Owen Grundy Pier for years. Now with her own studio at 150 Bay Street, she’s offering a “Taste of Tuscany” cooking workshop led by chefs Deb Lencioni Keith and Michele Becci from Respiro Yoga & Culinary Retreats. Admission is $45/per person or $80 for a couple.

What: The Origins Art Show
When: Saturday, November 7th 6.30pm till 10pm
Where: Jersey City Theater Center at Merseles Studios (345 Newark Avenue)
This multimedia show and lecture is curated by professional artist, Lucy Rovetto, and will focus on the Ramapough Lenape, New Jersey’s indigenous peoples. Speakers will feature Italian artist, Angelo Bellobono, Ramapough Lenape artist Jack Crying Raven, and human rights and environmentalist/activist Chief Anderson Dwaine Perry. Suggested donation is $5/ per person.

What: A Parade of Veterans & Heroes
When: Sunday, November 8th at 10am
Where: City Hall to Harsimus Cemetery
The Jersey City Veteran’s Parade will begin at City Hall and march toward the Harsimus Cemetery where there will be a musical tribute to all military and public safety personnel at 11.30am. The parade will include floats, marching bands, military vehicles, K-9 units, and a 21-gun salute.
