What: Walker Stalker Con
When: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday (December 4th through December 6th)
Where: Meadowlands Exposition Center, Secaucus
Walker Stalker Con is part convention, part meet-up for fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead. The convention will let you meet stars of the show (Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, and Emily Kinney will be at the convention) and immerse yourself in the Walking Dead Experience, where you can spend 30 to 90 minutes battling walkers. The Walking Dead Experience is produced by Robert Kirkman himself along with the show’s executive producer, David Alpert. Tickets start at $35 per person and climb up to $1,400 for the Platinum VIP Experience.

When: Saturday, December 5th  & Sunday December 6th from 11am till 6pm
Where: City Hall (behind City Hall)
This heated outdoor market is downtown Jersey City’s official kick-off to the holiday shopping season highlighting local crafts, foods, gifts, and small businesses. It’s the ultimate way to support your favorite local businesses. Vendors will include Taproot Organics, Bread + Spoon, Thirsty Quaker, Tribeca Grain, Hound About Town, and The Angry Crab.

What: Sip & Shop at Sloane Square
When: Saturday, December 5th from 1pm till 4pm
Where: 150 Bay Street (by the residential entrance)
Sloane Square is a lifestyle showroom specializing in furniture, lighting, rugs, and interior design. The boutique is run by Jersey City entrepreneur, Courtney Sloane. This Saturday from 1pm till 4pm you’ll be able to sip on cocktails and browse through the boutique’s holiday collection, which includes candles, pottery, throws & pillows, table top decor, and bar accessories. You can check out some of the showroom’s collection via their website and Instagram account.

What: The Nutcracker at Brookfield Place
When: Saturday, December 5th at 1pm & 7pm
Where: Brookfield Place at WTC
The New York Theatre Ballet is performing Keith Michael’s The Nutcracker at the Winter Garden inside Brookfield Place (above the WTC Path transportation hub). This 1-hour adaptation is set to Tchaikovsky’s cherished score. Admission is free, but it’s recommended you arrive early to secure a good spot. Performances are scheduled for 1pm and again at 7pm.

What: Holiday Open House at The Barrow Mansion
When: Saturday, December 5th from 7pm till 10pm
Where: 83 Wayne Street
The Barrow Mansion Holiday Open House is an early holiday party that’s open to anyone in Jersey City. The party will feature live music from Con Vivo and the North River Sing Carolers, as well as holiday bites and drinks. There will also be tours of the mansion given throughout the night. If you’re free Friday night from the hours of 7pm till 10pm, you can also swing by to help decorate the mansion.

What: Santa’s Winter Wonderland at Brookfield Place
When: Friday, December 4th through Thursday, December 24th from 10am till 6pm
Where: Brookfield Place, NYC (above WTC Path Hub)
Santa’s Winter Wonderland kicks off this Friday at Brookfield Place in Battery Park, New York. Families, friends, couples, co-workers, and even dog owners (on select days) can capture the magic of the holidays with jolly Saint Nick himself. Photo packages start at $22. While you’re there you can also check out the Luminaries holiday installation inside the Winter Garden.

What: Tatsuro Nishimura Solo Exhibition at Bucket & Bay
When: Friday, December 4th from 6.30pm till 10pm
Where: 150 Bay Street (off Marin Blvd.)
Bucket & Bay has launched an events calendar and its first event is a solo exhibition by award-winning New York photographer, Tatsuro Nishimura. In addition, there will be live music by Land of the Look Behind and Bucket & Bay will unveil a new line of winter gelatos.

What: 2015 Pad Paws Holiday Gala
When: Friday, December 4th from 6pm till 10pm
Where: Trump Plaza at 88 Morgan Street
Pad Paws Animal Rescue was founded in 2006 in Jersey City’s Powerhouse Arts District. The non-profit rescues abandoned and injured animals on both sides of the Hudson in Battery Park, New York, and Jersey City, NJ. The Holiday Gala is a fundraiser and celebration with food, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres (with vegetarian options), raffles, music, and more. Tickets are $25 per person with all proceeds going to Pad Paws Animal Rescue.
