The team at Thirty Acres will serve its final dinner this Saturday. If you want to stop by for one last meal or just to wish them well, the restaurant will be open and serving from its a la carte menu Friday and Saturday. And so the countdown begins for the Kitchen Step.

What: Dark Side of the Moo Grand Opening
When: Saturday, November 28th from 9am
Where: 52 Bowers Street
The Dark Side of the Moo food truck provides downtown Jersey City with various exotic meats (think alligator, yak, wild boar). Now they’re celebrating the grand opening of their first cafe at 52 Bowers Street. The celebration starts at 9am and there will be a special appearance by Milk Sugar Love.

What: Museum of Feelings
When: Through December 15th Saturdays, 11am till 9pm; Sundays 11am till 7pm
Where: Brookfield Place (above Path WTC) in Battery Park, NYC
Indulge in your feels at the Museum of Feelings, an interactive experience built to showcase the connection between scent and emotion. Located just outside Brookfield Place (at the WTC Path hub), the museum offers five unique galleries that reflect the mood of each visitor and of the city. (It does the latter by scraping social media and other real-time data.) The museum is sponsored by Glade, so each mood also corresponds to a specific scent. Admission is free through December 15.

Where: Select Small Businesses
Small Business Saturday is a relatively young movement that encourages shoppers to spend their money locally supporting the many small business that make up their neighborhood. Here in downtown Jersey City there are plenty of new and old-school shops that have helped turn DTJC into what it is today. From newcomers like Bucket & Bay and Razza to old-school shops like Morlees and Carmen Rosa Bakery. The point is simply to support your local small businesses.
