Kick off your Easter weekend with a Saturday morning 5K run/walk and picnic at Liberty State Park, courtesy of Whealth and Modern Sage. Plus, help celebrate The Thirsty Quaker’s 2-Year Anniversary with a complimentary BBQ complete with hotdogs and veggie burgers. Finally, wrap up your weekend with a home-cooked Italian brunch by Whealth and organic ice cream shop Milk Sugar Love.

What: Whealth & Modern Sage Run/Walk – Recharge
When: Saturday, March 26th at 10am
Where: Central Railroad Terminal at the end of Audrey Zapp Road in Liberty State Park
Whealth and Modern Sage are teaming up for a 5K run (or 30-minute walk for non-runners) at Liberty State Park. The event is open to anyone (regardless of your fitness level) with the intent of getting everyone to connect with one another in the community. The event costs $15 per person and includes the run/walk, cool down/meditation, and light picnic afterwards.

What: Thirsty Quaker 2-Year Anniversary BBQ
When: Saturday, March 26th at 3pm – 9pm
Where: Thirsty Quaker Parking Lot at 492 Monmouth Street
The Thirsty Quaker is turning 2 and to celebrate its throwing a BBQ in its own backyard. Expect several kegs of home-brewed beer, hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, and beer from 902 Brewing. The event is free of charge.

What: TEDxJerseyCity 2016 Auditions
When: Saturday, March 26th at 4.30pm – 7.30pm
Where: Jersey City Art School at 29 McWilliams Place
TEDx invites you to prepare a 5-minute pitch about your new, innovative, or inspirational idea using the power of personal narrative and story-telling. The focus of these auditions is not to pitch a product or service, but to present new ideas or experiences and share their impact on our community. Up to eight speakers will be selected from these auditions to present a full-length TEDx Talk at the TEDxJerseyCity conference in December at the Landmark Loews Theatre. This year’s theme is “Go.” TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas in the form of short, powerful talks.

What: Jam Session & Small Bites
When: Saturday, March 26th at 8pm
Where: Holy Rosary Convent at 187 Brunswick Street
Whealth’s second weekend event takes place at the old Holy Rosary Convent at 187 Brunswick Street. The night of music and food starts off with a BYOB small bites dinner that will include plates like sriracha sticky rice balls and braised beef shank open-faced cheese steak. The light dinner will be followed by a 1-hour jam session with Michael Ronstadt on cello, Whealth’s Dave Trotta on guitar, and Dalton on mandolin. The event costs $15 per person.

What: Whealth & Milk Sugar Love Easter Brunch
When: Sunday, March 27th at 11.30am & 1.30pm
Where: 357 Third Street
Celebrate Easter Sunday with a special brunch from Whealth and Milk Sugar Love. The meal will start with coffee, tea, and baked goods and breads from Milk Sugar Love and will then include an entree and dessert. Live music will be provided by Michael Ronstadt on cello. Tickets to the BYOB brunch cost $35 per person. The first seating starts at 11.30am and a second seating is available at 1.30pm.
