Try This Now: Black Zuchette with Blue Crab & Jalapeño at Bell + Gray

“Try This Now” puts the spotlight on a beverage, cocktail, appetizer, dessert, or meal I’ve recently had in downtown Jersey City that has surpassed all my expectations.

The Black Zuchette at Bell + Gray may not be the most visually appealing dish on the restaurant’s menu, but in terms of taste — this entree will not disappoint. Zuchette is a pasta made from zucchini and the chefs at Bell + Gray coat this wonderful pasta  in black squid ink and pair it with chunks of delicious blue crab meat, spicy jalapeño, garlic, and dill. All of the ingredients compliment each other very well — the spicy jalapeño in particular adds a quick punch of heat — and the end result is a hearty, delicious pasta with surprise chunks of blue crab meat hidden in every bite.
