Try This Now: Corn Flake-Crusted Stuffed Brioche French Toast at Skinner’s Loft

“Try This Now” puts the spotlight on a cocktail, appetizer, dessert, or meal I’ve recently had in downtown Jersey City that surpasses all expectations.

Skinner’s Loft has reinvented the French Toast. Available during brunch only, their French Toast is made with brioche rather than traditional white bread. The thick-cut brioche is then covered in crunchy Corn Flakes, but has a fluffy, delicate interior that’s stuffed with a creamy raspberry filling. (The filling may vary based on what’s in season). Served with a sprinkle of powdered sugar, cinnamon, and fresh strawberries — it’s the perfect weekend brunch meal.

  1. Skinners loft NEVER disappoints and their brunch is out of this world by far beats out the majority of downtown brunch spots if you ask me

    • @Gabriela — I agree! Though I’ve yet to try Roman Nose’s brunch. (I’ve had their weekday lunch — which is great — but not their brunch).
