Mayor Steven Fulop announced on Friday that two major art projects are coming to Jersey City. The first is a mural of legendary musician David Bowie, which pays tribute to the late artist as his alter ego, Aladdin Sane. The mural will be created by Brazilian street artist, Eduardo Kobra. (You can check out some of his stunning murals on his website and Instagram account — I personally love this one.) According to Fulop, the Jersey City building owner is “timid” about the mural, even though the rendering appears to be in final stages. It’s unknown where in Jersey City (or what building) will showcase Kobra’s work.

The second art project (pictured below) is a life-size Monopoly board coming to the Pedestrian Plaza on Newark Avenue. According to Fulop’s tweet, the board is “coming soon” with life-size pieces so people can play the Monopoly game. The artist who created this project is New Jersey’s own Mr. Ability.
