What: 80s Baby Charity Bootcamp
When: Saturday, September 26th from 8am till 8.45am
Where: Exchange Place (J. Owen Grundy Park)
JFC Bootcamp has partnered with the Sarah Allen Women’s Missionary Society for an 80s-themed bootcamp designed to help children in need (while also keeping you in shape). The bootcamp is free, although JFC asks that you make a donation of school supplies and/or backpacks.

What: Jersey City Irish Festival on the Hudson
When: Saturday, September 26th from 11am till 10pm
Where: Exchange Place (outside Path station)
The Jersey City waterfront will be painted green this weekend as locals celebrate the JC Irish Festival on the Hudson. The festival will include food, drinks, live music, children’s activities, raffles, and more. Proceeds from Saturday’s event will go to a memorial scholarship fund in the name of Jersey City Police Officer Melvin Santiago and Jersey City Firefighter Mark Lee.

What: 6th Annual Hamilton Park BBQ Festival
When: Saturday, September 26th from 12pm till 8pm
Where: Hamilton Park
Another weekend, another food fest. The 6th Annual Hamilton Park BBQ fest is a meat-lover’s dream come true with all kinds of barbecued meats. Vendors at the event will include GP’s Restaurant, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Jersey City Wingery, Pennsylvania’s Jimmy’s BBQ, Delaney Barbecue of Brooklyn, Ben’s BBQ & Catering of Newark, and Ahri’s Kitchen. There will also be drinks, live music (you can check out the lineup here), and activities for kids. The festival helps raise money for the Hamilton Park Conservancy, an organization that maintains and improves Hamilton Park.

What: 6th Borough Market
When: Sunday, September 27th from 11am till 5pm
Where: Behind City Hall on Montgomery and Marin Boulevard
The 6th Borough Market occurs every second and fourth Sunday of every month. The outdoor market features local food, crafts, and arts all in one festive block party.

What: Golden Door International Film Festival
When: September 25th through 27th (screening times vary)
Where: Throughout downtown Jersey City
The Golden Door Film Fest is a multi-night indie film fest that takes place across most of Jersey City with screenings at the Lowe’s Theatre, Brightside Tavern, Grove Square Bistro, and the Jersey City Theater Center. The fest includes 150 film screenings from 20 participating countries. Celebrities attending include Famke Janssen, Sean Young, Stephen Baldwin, and Judd Hirsch, to name a few. What: See Spot Rescued Adoption Event
When: September 27th from 11am till 3pm
Where: Anthropologie at 412 Washington Street @Hoboken
See Spot Rescued’s Sit, Stay, Love Adoption event is taking place this Sunday at the Anthropolgie store in Hoboken. Even if you’re not ready to adopt, you can still go out to meet the pups and get to know them. These will be some of the stars of the event.

What: Hispanic Heritage Month Concert
When: September 27th from 3pm till 4.30pm
Where: Holy Rosary Church (back patio)
The Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association presents a free outdoor concert in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Performers include Carolina Velez (tango singer), Josue Perez (guitarist/composer), Lisa Spraragen (flamenco dancer), and Alexandra Filipe (soprano singer).
