Weekend News: Jersey City Eats Food Fest, Lucky 7’s Outdoor BBQ Music Fest

**Jersey City Eats is back for its second annual Project Eats street fair. The 2-day food fest will be held in front of City Hall and feature food from downtown Jersey City’s top restaurants including Ahri’s Kitchen, Bucket & Bay, Union Republic, and Left Bank Burger Bar. There will also be a marketplace offering local products from The Lucky Honeybee, Taproot Organic, and Outer Limits Hot Sauce. The festival runs from 11am till 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. **Lucky 7’s annual Rock n’ Roll BBQ is part music fest, part outdoor BBQ. The event runs from 1pm till 10pm on Saturday on the corner of 2nd Street and Coles (just outside Lucky 7’s Tavern). Expect plenty of beer, whiskey, and rock n’ roll. –Lucky 7’s via Facebook

**The 2nd annual Sugartown Charity 5K is a race/walk that benefits Women Rising, a local non-profit organization that assists women in need of jobs, substance abuse counseling, and/or safety from domestic violence. The USA Track & Field-certified race will begin at 8.30am at Liberty State Park’s North Cove Field. **Soulful Cypher and GetOpen present “House On The Hudson,” an all-day event at the Exchange Place pier which includes yoga, free massages, capoeira presentations, art installations, and live music. Festivities kick off on Sunday at 9am and end at 9pm. —JC Independent

**The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra will hold a free community concert on Sunday at 3pm at Hamilton Park. The free brass quintet performance is sponsored by the PSE&G Foundation. —NJSO
