**The Village Block Party is a one-day festival taking place this Saturday, July 25th in the heart of Jersey City’s village neighborhood (on Brunswick & Newark). The event lasts from noon till 10pm and will include food, live music (I personally recommend sticking around for Manouche Bag’s gypsie jazz), wine tastings, craft beer, food trucks, and tons more. —4th Street Arts

The parade itself starts at noon at Lincoln Park (Kennedy Blvd & Belmont Ave) and the accompanying festival will be held on the waterfront (at 3pm) where you’ll be able to indulge in plenty of Caribbean music and food. –Jersey City Caribbean Carnival via Facebook
