Students from the Jersey City Global Charter School have unleashed their creativity upon Grove street. With the help of local artists, 11 students from the elementary school have completed a series of vibrant murals at 95 Columbus. The murals, which span over 200 feet across 50 wooden panels spell out “Love Yourself Jersey City.” They’re located on the corner of Grove and Columbus.

“We hope that everyone who passes 95 Columbus is as inspired by these students’ skill and creativity as we are,” said David Cheikin, Senior Vice President of Asset Management and Leasing for Columbia, which owns and manages 95 Columbus.

Led by their teacher Maya Sanders, the JCGCS students put the finishing touches on the murals on May 14.

95 Columbus (aka Pershing building) is currently undergoing major renovations. New upgrades to the office tower include a double-height glass entrance, a re-imagined lobby, and new retail spaces/storefronts. The renovations are expected to wrap up by the third quarter of this year. The spaces formerly occupied by Subway and GNC are currently up for lease.
