Newport Skates — Jersey City’s only waterfront ice skating rink — is officially open for the 2023/2024 season. Located at 95 River Drive South, the rink is open seven days a week.
Admission to the rink is $13/pp and skate rentals cost $7. (Newport residents receive half-off admission). New for this year, Newport Skates is teaming up with Fireworks Skating Academy to offer private lessons. There are also party packages for anyone interested in group skating.

Newport Skates 2023/2024 hours
- Monday through Thursday: 4pm to 9pm
- Friday: 4pm to 10pm
- Saturday: 11am to 10pm
- Sunday: 11am-7pm
