Jersey City condo sells for record-breaking $3.9 million

A penthouse at 99 Hudson recently sold for a record-breaking $3.9 million. Located on the 75th floor of New Jersey’s tallest residential tower, the 2,473 square-foot penthouse is the highest-priced residential condo closing in Jersey City history. The residence was delivered in “white box” condition, which means it has no walls or finishes. This gives the buyer a blank canvas to personalize layouts and floor design to their taste. The unit has 1,167 square-feet of private outdoor space and New York views that stretch from the Statue of Liberty to the George Washington Bridge.

Jersey City schools will remain closed till fall

[Update: JC public schools will reopen in April after all. After a quick reversal, the city announced schools will open this week].
Jersey City’s public schools will not reopen on April 26 as originally planned, reports Hudson Reporter. Superintendent Franklin Walker cites a shortage of teachers willing to return to schools as the reason for the last-minute reversal. According to Walker, more than 450 staff members declined to return to their schools last Thursday and Friday when their attendance was mandatory.
