Rumba Cubana Will Open This Month And Here’s Their Menu

Hamilton Park is about to get some Latin flare.

Rumba Cubana is scheduled to open its new restaurant and lounge later this month at 237 Pavonia Avenue.

With locations in North Bergen, Clifton, and Guttenberg, this will be Rumba Cubana’s first foray into Jersey City.

The restaurant’s Cuban-born owners, Alan and Nairelys Lopez, have created an extensive menu that offers a mix of Spanish, African, and Caribbean cuisine. It includes Cuban tapas ($2.95 to $9.95), soups ($2.95 to $3.95), salads ($3.95 to $5.95), sandwiches ($4.95 to $7.95), and a variety of Cuban and Caribbean classics like arroz con pollo (chicken with rice), ropa vieja (slow-cooked shredded beef with tomato, peppers, and onions), Cuban paella, and mofongo ($6.95 to $26.95). The menu also includes a few vegetarian options like a veggie paella.

The official ribbon cutting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 24 at 4pm, so it’s safe to say we’ll likely see a soft open before that date. We’ll update our story with any new info we learn.
