Scram Jersey CityGood news for fans of decadent breakfast sandwiches. Scram Jersey City has officially reopened for indoor dining. The cafe is open Thursdays through Sundays from 8am to 12pm. The shop is located at 61 Erie Street, formerly home to Enna Bakery.

The South Carolina-based food truck briefly opened in March of 2020, but rapidly closed during the first wave of the pandemic. While it had reopened in recent weeks, indoor dining was closed off to the public until recently.

Scram is operated by pastry chef Melanie Durant. Prior to launching Scram, Durant worked at South Carolina’s FIG and The Ordinary. In 2013, Food & Wine named Durant one of the best new pastry chefs in the country. Fast forward to 2017, and Durant launches her first solo business — the Scram Breakfast Sandwich food truck.

Scram Jersey City menu

The Scram menu is renowned for a variety of sweet and savory treats. That includes cider crullers, yuzu milk buns, and of course their eggs in puffs. Their signature breakfast sandwiches include a ham, bacon, sausage, or fontina sandwich served on their house-made buns. They also offer egg buns, donut boxes, banana almond bread, cookies, and even a vegan pastry box. Coffee is provided by Parlor Coffee.
