Speedys JC is a new craft burger shop located at 84.5 Morris Street. (It’s across the street from Bistro La Source).

Co-owner, chef, and Jersey City resident Juan Bautista has created a menu that’s both affordable and doesn’t skimp on quality. Speedys signature burger, for instance, is a Pat LaFrieda-based burger ($9.95) served with white cheddar and a generous dollop of Speedys’ special house sauce. A burger isn’t complete without fries, and you can get either traditional house-cut fries ($3.95) or gravy-drenched disco fries ($7.95).

If you’re not in the mood for a burger, the restaurant’s menu also includes items like a Cajun chicken burger ($10.95) or Steelhead salmon burger ($12.95).

Likewise, if you’re counting calories, Speedys JC has plenty of lighter/healthier choices such as a quinoa bowl ($11.95), salmon poke bowl ($13.95), or various salad bowls.

Bautista, who is also chef at The Warren NYC (131 Christopher), tells JC Upfront that Speedys is BYOB friendly.

Speedys JC is open from 11am to 9pm everyday. You can give them a follow on Instagram for any soft opening updates. Speedys JC is the latest in a long list of new eateries that have recently opened. It joins the likes of Artichoke Pizza and Maman Jersey City.
