All About Downtown Fest in Jersey CityCelebrate the last weekend of summer with the long-awaited return of the All About Downtown Food Fest, McGinley Square’s Pop-Up Plaza, Harborside’s Jersey City Wine Fest, and more.

Thursday Events

What: Zeppelin Hall Sausage Fest
When: Thursday, September 16 through Sunday, October 17
Where: 88 Liberty View Drive
Sausagefest is back at Zeppelin Hall. Through October 17, the beer garden will be offering over 12 different sausage dishes. Plus, there will be live music every Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

Friday Events

What: Jersey City Wine Festival
When: Friday, September 17 from 6:30pm to 10pm
Where: Urby Parking Lot at 200 Greene
The Jersey City Wine Fest returns to Harborside for another evening of wine tastings. Sample wines from Argentina, Chile, Australia, Italy, Spain, and more. Tickets to the Jersey City Wine Fest are $70/pp. The event will be held outdoors at the Urby Parking Lot at 200 Greene.

What: Drive-In Movie Night (Pixar’s Soul)
When: Friday, September 17 at 7:15pm
Where: 107 Morgan Street (parking lot adjacent to CoolVines Powerhouse)
The Exchange Place Alliance is hosting a drive-in movie night. Friday’s film will be Pixar’s Soul. Admission is $20 per car (no limit to how many people are in the car) or for those without a car it’s $10 per person. Gates will close at 8pm and no entry will be allowed after that time.

Saturday Events

What: Smorgasburg Jersey City
When: Saturday, September 18 from 11am to 6pm
Where: 195 Hudson
Smorgasburg is back at Harborside for another weekend of eats. The outdoor market will offer food from numerous vendors including Cake Jars, Salt & Seed, Carlitos Barbecue Taqueria, D’Abruzzo, and more. The market will operate every Saturday through October. Admission is free and there will be various outdoor dining options throughout Harborside.

What: All About Downtown Food Festival
When: Saturday, September 18 from 12pm to 8pm
Where: Pedestrian Plaza
Jersey City’s biggest food festival is back celebrating its 10th year. Roughly 200 vendors are expected this year. Highlights for 2021 include a reggae party/beer garden from Left Bank, a new Kids’ Zone, a salsa dance party on Grove, and four live music venues.

What: Pop-Up Plaza at McGinley Square
When: Saturday + Sunday from 12pm to 8pm
Where: Bergen Avenue (from Duncan to Reed)
The McGinley Square Pedestrian Plaza is back. The McGinley Square SID has organized another pop-up along Bergen Avenue (from Duncan to Reed). The pop-up will occur Saturday & Sunday from noon till 8pm and will highlight food from local eateries like Carvao, Crema, ITA Kitchen, and more.

What: The Cottage Weekend Jazz Trio
When: Saturdays from 12pm to 3pm
Where: 136 Monticello Avenue
The Cottage Jersey City is hosting live musical performances every weekend. (Note, they recently tweaked the time so the music starts and finishes later in the day). The socially distanced event is held in The Cottage’s outdoor patio. As a reminder, The Cottage is BYOB (and they offer killer pastries and brunch sandwiches).

What: Oktoberfest at 902 Brewing
When: Saturday, September 18 at 12pm
Where: 101 Pacific Avenue
902 Brewing is kicking off its Oktoberfest celebration today. Swing by the brewery for some beer, German food, and German music. Dress up in lederhosen and you’ll also get a discount.

What: Corgi Spirits Tia Planta Pop-Up
When: Sunday, September 19 from 1pm to 2pm
Where: 1 Distillery Drive
Jersey City resident Shayla Cabrera (aka Tia Planta) will be at Corgi Spirits this afternoon offering a plant parenting workshop. Learn the ins and outs of plant care while enjoying some afternoon cocktails.

What: Movie Night at Dullboy
When: Sunday, September 19 at 8pm
Where: 364 Grove Street
Every Sunday night, Dullboy will be screening a movie in its patio. The movie will begin at 8pm. Make sure to give them a follow on Instagram to find out what movie they’ll show.
