What: Friday Night Light-Up Ride with Bike JC
When: Friday, October 23 from 6pm
Where: Grove Plaza
Bike JC is hosting another free Light-Up Bike Ride for anyone who wants to attend. Rider will meet at Grove Plaza, bike through Lincoln Park West, over the bridge into Kearny, and come back down to Jersey City. Plus, the theme of the night will be Women in Music, so ride leaders will be spinning only music by women/woman-fronted acts.

Cider Fest

What: Cider Fest at The Cottage
When: Saturday & Sunday from 10am till sold out
Where: 136 Monticello Avenue
Artisanal market The Cottage is teaming up with chef Anastacia Song for Cider Fest, a pop-up offering cider donuts and fresh apple cider from 10am until sold out.

What: Fall Colors Walk
When: Saturday, October 24 from 10am
Where: City Hall
The 2nd Annual Fall Colors Walk is a celebration of Jersey City’s diversity. The event will kick off at 10am in front of City Hall with a 1-hour vinyasa yoga workshop. (The yoga class is open to all levels). The class will be followed by a walk along the Hudson River with dhol drummers and throwing color. The walk will end at Raaz at 537 Washington Boulevard (Newport). Tickets are $25/pp for adults.

What: Flip Eats + Sylvañas @ Pokay Bowl
When: Saturday, October 24 from 12pm to 4pm
Where: Pokay Bowl at 283 Newark Avenue
Enjoy an afternoon of Filipino eats and treats at Pokay Bowl. The poke spot is hosting a pop-up by Flip Eats and Sylvañas. To ensure proper social distancing, online pre-orders are encouraged from Flip Eats and Sylvañas. You can pick up your treats Saturday at Pokay Bowl from 12pm till 4pm.

What: Whealth Free Cooking Class
When: Saturday, October 24 from 12pm to 12:30pm
Where: Whealth Kitchen at 615 Pavonia Avenue
Whealth is hosting a free cooking class at its kitchen/cafe this afternoon. Chill with founder David Trotta as he teaches you to make stuffed acorn squash with basic ingredients from your fridge. The class is free, but registration is required.

What: Liberty Humane Society Virtual Adoption Event
When: October 24 through October 31
Where: 235 Jersey City Boulevard
Make quarantine a little less lonely by adopting a new furry friend from the LHS. Through October 31, the LHS will waive all adoption fees for adult cats and dogs over 40 lbs. The virtual adoption event is possible thanks to Hudson Subaru. Head on over to the LHS website to see a list of adoptable pets.

What: Artist & Maker Market
When: Saturday, October 24 from 12pm to 6pm
Where: Grove Plaza
The annual Artist & Maker Market is back to help you with your holiday shopping. The market will begin at Grove Plaza (outside the Grove PATH station) and stretch along the Pedestrian Plaza. You’ll be able to shop gifts, apparel, jewelry, and art from local businesses. The market will be at Grove every Saturday through November 7.

What: Chilltown Comedy Show at 902 Brewing
When: Saturday, October 24 at 8pm
Where: 101 Pacific Avenue
902 Brewing is hosting a free comedy show at the brewery this Saturday. (Donations for the The Lori Sorrentino Hennesy Scholarship Fund are encouraged). The show will include performances by Tony Loud, Irv Hernandez, Kayt Hester, Vishnu Vaka, Raanan Hershberg, Adrrienne Iapalucci, and Andy Haynes.

What: Outdoor Fitness Class with Four Fitness
When: Sunday, October 25 at 10am
Where: 686 Bergen Avenue
Burn those weekend calories off with a free fitness class hosted by Four Fitness owner Marcisco Morrison. The outdoor class is designed to work your entire body using your own body weight. Masks will be required and you’ll have to bring your own mat.
