A new karaoke/events space is soft opening on Communipaw, plus DomoDomo is now serving Saturday lunch. All that and more in our roundup of the best events happening in Jersey City this weekend. What: Bacon Fest at Zeppelin Hall

Where: 88 Liberty View Drive
Bacon Fest is back at Zeppelin Hall. Through Sunday, January 26, you can order entrees from a special bacon menu that includes dishes like bacon lasagna, bacon sliders, and a 64-ounce tomahawk ribeye steak wrapped in bacon.

What: Walter Parks at Cathedral Arts Live
When: Friday, January 17 at 7:30pm
Where: 30 Erie Street
Cathedral Arts Live returns for its 2020 season with guitarist Walter Parks performing his creative mix of swamp blues, folk, and jazz. Parks will be joined by accordion ace Rob Curto. Admission to the show is $20 online or $25 at the door.

What: Puerto Rican Vegan Eats at Plant Base
When: Saturday, January 18 from 9:30am to 8pm
Where: 370 Pacific Avenue
From arroz con gandules to yucca fries, guest chef La Caja Puerto Rican BBQ will be back at Plant Base all day cooking up vegan Puerto Rican eats. If you missed it last weekend, here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect.

There’s a new brunch option for your Saturday afternoons. DomoDomo Jersey City is now serving brunch on Saturdays from 11:30am to 2:30pm per their website.

What: Loew’s Theatre Behind the Scenes
When: Saturday, January 18 from 1pm to 3pm
Where: 54 Journal Square Plaza
Get a behind the scenes look at Jersey City’s famous Loew’s Theatre. You’ll tour the grand lobby, visit the backstage, walk through the parlors, and get an exclusive look at the theater’s projector room. The tour is put together by New York Adventure Club with a Loew’s volunteer as your guide. Admission is $32/pp.

What: Paint & Sip at The Loft
When: Saturday, January 18 from 6:30pm to 9pm
Where: 492 Communipaw Avenue
The Loft is a new theatrical karaoke/events lounge. Celebrate its soft opening tonight with a paint & sip. Admission is $25/pp and includes a glass of wine and appetizers.

The 4th Annual Party 4 Peace is a fundraiser for the Jersey City Anti-Violence Coalition Movement. There will be live music, DJ sets, prizes, and more.

Where: Harborside Atrium
