**It’s been open for less than a year, but the popular Burger Eatery on Erie and First Street is already looking to expand. Jersey Digs reports that the burger restaurant wants to merge its existing space with the retail space next door, as well as add a new sidewalk cafe on Erie Street. —Jersey Digs

**New Jersey has seen its fair share of bridge proposals, but now a Delaware-based consultant is proposing a super bridge that would connect Weehawken with Long Island City. The Empire State Gateway would call for two side-by-side bridges cutting through 38th and 39th Streets in New York. Each would be a triple-decker suspension bridge carrying trains, buses, and a light rail. A top level would allow cyclists and pedestrians to cross. The project would cost $20 billion, but the bridge’s creator — Scott R. Spencer — claims revenue sources could include tolls, NJ Transit/Amtrak fees, and revenue from cell phone, TV, and radio antennas. —Curbed
